Defining 'innovative' for cars in its class, the third-generation, new Kia Ceed brings exciting, new technologies, an athletic, new design and an even more appealing drive to this dynamic and sporty, five-door hatchback.
Heralding an evolution of the c’eed name to Ceed, this new model is now available. The new Ceed is ready to see, ready to test drive, ready to enjoy and ready for you – just contact us to find out more.
Sporty and emotive in character with a lower and wider stance, a longer rear overhang, a strong shoulder line and an upright stance, the 2018 Kia Ceed has really matured, thanks to being constructed on Kia’s new ‘K2’ platform. There’s a wider ‘tiger-nose’ grille with ‘ice cube’ LED daytime running lights to either side and a lower air intake to make the front end stand out. The wide C-pillar underlines that the Ceed is a truly modern Kia, whilst straight lines have been replaced by rounded edges. At the back, there are new LED daytime running lights and an understated rear boot spoiler. Depending on your chosen Ceed, you’ll receive 15” or 16” steel wheels, 16” aluminium alloy wheels, or 17” two-tone diamond cut alloys. You can also choose between 12 exterior paint colours.
In profile, a more upright stance has been achieved by the use of sharp, straight lines to visually lengthen the bonnet. There’s also a greater sense of maturity and strength in the Ceed’s shoulder line, which now runs along a more horizontal plane, creating a sleek new ‘half-moon’ shape along the upper window-line. To enhance visibility and recognition from the rear, there are new LED daytime running lights.
Constructed on Kia’s new ‘K2’ platform, the Ceed five-door hatchback has wider dimensions and a longer rear overhang than the outgoing model, creating a more assertive and sporty stance, for a more confident presence on the road. From launch, the Ceed range will be available in a choice of 11 paint finishes. A selection of wheels and designs are available, with buyers able to choose from 15-inch steel wheels, 16-inch steel or aluminium wheels, and 17-inch two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels
Impressive, thanks to the use of more high-quality, soft-touch materials throughout, the interior features a driver-centric centre console that’s angled slightly towards you as you sit in the driving seat and is laid out horizontally for a more sculptural and seamless appearance. The dashboard is in two sections, the top section houses the ‘floating’ touchscreen infotainment system, with the audio, heating and ventilation controls below. Overall, there’s more internal space, with the front-seat passenger now enjoying increased legroom and headroom, as well as a better view forward. The rear passengers benefit from an increase in shoulder room. To enhance the cabin of your new Ceed, you can opt for genuine leather upholstery, along with a leather-wrapped gear stick and steering wheel.
Complementing the spacious cabin, there’s generous luggage capacity in the 395-litre boot, increased in size by 15-litres. The boot lip is also substantially lower than before – the lift-over height is reduced by 87mm compared to the outgoing cee’d, making it easier to load heavier items into the boot. A split-level boot floor means you can lower or raise its height to accommodate larger cargo or create a hidden compartment beneath.
