Kia EV3 Earns Top Euro NCAP Assisted Driving Rating

The all-electric Kia EV3 has achieved the highest "Very Good" rating in Euro NCAP’s assisted driving test—making it the first Kia to do so. Featuring advanced Highway Driving Assist 2 technology and up to 376 miles of range, the EV3 is now available at Clarks of Kidderminster.

We’re proud to share that the all-new Kia EV3 has been awarded the highest possible rating—“Very Good”—in Euro NCAP’s latest assisted driving assessment. This marks a significant milestone, as it’s the first time a Kia model has received top marks in this test.

The independent safety body evaluated the EV3’s advanced Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2) system, which combines adaptive cruise control, lane centring, and real-time driver monitoring. The system excelled in both tested categories—‘assistance competence’ and ‘safety backup’—with impressive scores of 74 and 88 out of 100 respectively, securing the highest overall grade.

Euro NCAP praised the EV3 for providing a balanced driving experience, offering substantial driver support without removing the need for engagement. HDA 2 assists confidently in real-world motorway conditions, including lane changes, maintaining lane discipline at various speeds, and safely stopping the vehicle if the driver becomes unresponsive.
